Abiding Word Lutheran has put together a list of resources to further your understanding of who we are and recommendations from our pastor. If you have a recommendation, you are always welcome to send the recommendation to our pastor.
Rev. Cody Mills made a list of recommended books to help with many different situations. Some of the recommendations are Lutheran based, and others are not. He has carefully selected the books to enrich you. Some are very heavy and academic, and others are not. In the list you will see recommendations for Lutheran Doctrine. Luther House of Study has created short videos to teach and guide us in the Lutheran understanding. As Lutheran, we do no worship Martin Luther, we have the name Lutheran because the Roman Catholic Church used the term as a derogatory term. The term stuck for those that listened to the sermons delivered by Martin Luther. His teachings took us away from the Papal Bull and centered on the cross.
